The wicker man is an effigy used in human sacrifice. In April, 2015 eight people were executed in Indonesia during my stay there. The series ‘orang-orang mengayam’ (the wicker people) explores the futility of such a process and reminds us that we are all one, interconnected, constantly evolving and flowing through the shared experience of our existence.
